Updata was founded over 20 years ago with the aim of delivering the best technical analysis software running on as many data sources as possible - hence 'Up data'. The company’s headquarters are in London, with additional US offices in New York and Houston with Singapore opening shortly. Updata's software is used by professional traders and analysts in over 50 countries.

David Linton CFTe MSTA, Chief Executive
David founded Updata in 1991 after several years trading and developing systems himself. He is a regular commentator on financial markets in the UK press and TV. He is himself an active investor using the Updata TA system for analysis and trading. He teaches the Ichimoku charting module for the Society of Technical Analysts' Diploma course. He still enjoys meeting clients face to face which is where he spends the majority of his time.
Hammaad Uteem MSTA, Senior Sales Manager
Hammaad joined Updata in 2001 and worked on the Updata helpdesk for a few years before progressing to supporting market professionals in the field. His overall technical knowledge of the system is almost unrivalled. He is also a fluent French speaker.
Tara Babooa MSTA, Senior Client Manager
Tara joined Updata in 2002 as an account manager on our home based traders team. In 2008 she passed the STA exam and has since progressed to senior client manager on the enterprise user team. Tara's combined technical analysis knowledge and exceptional understanding of the Updata system enables her to deliver the very best of Updata to her clients.
Richard Teale MSTA, CFTe, Head of Research
Richard joined Updata in 1999 as part of the Technical Support team and progressed to IT manager at Updata. In 2007 he passed the STA exam and in 2011 become a Certified Financial Technician with IFTA. Richard now writes Updata's "Morning Call" report each day for our Institutional clients.
