Use Trader anywhere

Trader Professional II has been developed using technologies that will allow you to use it on your computer via either a broadcast or Internet data feed. You can already use the Internet feed on the move feeding into Trader Pro II on a laptop via a GSM data card, or on your corporate network in your office. So if you want to use high speed, fixed cost Internet instead of broadcast – no problem!

You can also run Trader Pro II in an Internet browser and use it just like the system on your computer. Updatatrader.NET works almost exactly the same way as your Trader software so you can effectively use your system from another PC.

As handheld Internet devices with ‘near PC’ Internet capability begin to roll out over the coming year or two, you will be able to have all the Updata Trader functionality you need in the palm of your hand. In the meantime, Trader Pro II will do lots of work for you and send important messages unique to you by email, or text to your mobile phone.

This is the first true step towards your system watching the market for you!

A new environment

Trader, like Microsoft Office, was developed around a ‘suite’ framework of four applications: Quotescreen, Newstore, Portfolio and Analytics. Developing a system that would run in the .NET environment too presented us with a fresh challenge and usability studies with Trader showed that some new users found four separate applications a little disorientating.

Therefore, we decided to bring all the Trader applications into once environment whiles retaining the familiar Trader look and feel. Simply click on a quote screen, news, a portfolio, or a graph and the menus and toolbars al revert to the ones you are used to, allowing you to find your favourite features fast. There are many more fabulous tools across the board too.
