Trend Channel

The Channel function will draw a set of parallel lines automatically through any selected period on the graph. The lines for the Channel are drawn 1.96 standard deviation from the central regression line, resulting in 95% of the data within the specified period falling inside the channel.

To draw a trend Channel on a graph

• Perform a Drag Drop (refer to Zooming In On Any Period with a Drag Drop)
  
  
• A Trend Line dialog box will display

  

• Click on OK

  The Trend Channel will be imposed on your chart.

  

  NOTICE

  To avoid the constant trend line dialog boxes from prompting for a confirmation, then this facility can be disabled. This can be done by clicking on Tools, Confirm and then selecting items to be disabled by clicking on it. To re-enable the dialog boxes, click on the required item, this should replace the tick.
