Rebased Overlay

The Rebased Overlay function draws the selected file in reference to the level of the original price file (i.e. re-based to the same level as the original price file). Analytics does this by dividing the first point of the original price line by the first point of the overlay price line and divides all subsequent data of the overlay price line by the same factor.

To Overlay a Rebased price file:

• Follow exactly the same process as an Absolute overlay but when the Overlay dialog box is presented change the Overlay Type to Rebased
  
  
• The Synchronise Date field is active
  
  
• Click on the Select Date button
  
  
• Select Overlay Synchronisation Date dialog box will be displayed.

  

  This dialog box displays the Minimum and Maximum dates also available by clicking on the Earliest Available and the Latest Available buttons within the Overlay dialog box.

• Select synchronisation date
  
  
• Then Click on OK to close both dialogs boxes.
