Moving Average Convergence/Divergence

The Moving Average Convergence/Divergence measures the distance between two averages of different periods. The MACD Period box calls for two inputs of period to compare.

To apply the MACD to a graph:

• The STI dialog box will be displayed.
  
  
• Select two required periods by scrolling across with the arrows.
  
  
• Click on OK and the graph will re-draw with the MACD line in a separate graph below the price line graph.
