Installation, Data Migration & Integration with Existing Systems
At Updata we expect to place our technical personnel on site for an agreed period during the installation process having clearly mapped out the work to be done, ensuring that data is properly migrated from your existing system and Portfolio Administrator is fully up and running. We are familiar with data migration from systems such as Microsoft Access and SQL, Oracle, Fairs, First, LSD and Pulse. If you require integration with some of your existing systems, such that Portfolio Administrator works along side your current way of working, we are happy to work with your firm to achieve this.
Initial Support and In-house Training
During the installation process we expect to provide a level of in-house support and training to ensure at least one member of your staff satisfies us with a formal sign off that the installation is complete and that they will be able to run the system thereafter. Updata can provide additional in-house support and training to all the necessary members of staff in your firm if required.
Data Services
Updata offers a range of data services designed to take the hard work out of entering publicly available data into your system. We can provide a range of live price feeds across more than 20 financial markets and up to ten years of price history on UK stocks. Updata Portfolio Administrator is compatible with services such as Hemscott, for automatic entry of dividends, capital events and other essential fundamentals data.
Ongoing Support and Training
Updata provides your firm with telephone support via the Updata Help Desk. We also conduct quarterly reviews with your key personnel and are able to provide your IT staff with ongoing high level access to our development team. Should you require regular and ongoing onsite support and training for your team to ensure you are maximising your firm’s use of the system, this can be arranged.
Training Courses
Updata holds regular training courses designed to help small groups of professionals learn every aspect of using the system to its full potential. We also offer a range of other courses designed for investment professionals including subjects such as CGT, Share Analysis and Technical Analysis. Your firm will be kept regularly informed of course dates.

Attendance at Conferences
